ppl use them on fo tanks mainly, but ive seen some reefer use them for parasites with their tangs and other ick attracting fish, lmk if you need one i have a new one forsale, ill let it go for $30.00!

well, turn it off..and you will see what happens..jk..if you have a healthy tank, you wont need it...but its better safe than sorry..

IMO, running one in a healthy reef tank is like throwing out the baby with the bath water. You kill the good planktonic critters that your corals feed on as well as the bad stuff like Ich.
