I guess it depends on how bad you want something, anybody around here selling blue tort frags that size for fourty bucks?

That's what happens when you get into the "rare" corals. However, Larry and I were looking at some rare coral sites and they were selling medium sized tort colonies for about $175. You could make some pretty good money buying a colony and fragging it out. I guess that's the reef equivalent of a chop shop. I wasn't that impressed with the color of the frag in the link. It was nice, but not that nice.

Does anyone know someone in Austin named Yikan (real name Brad). He has a couple of "rare" corals listed on frags.org, including a tort.

I registered there and sent him an email a few minutes ago.

I know Yikan, an oriental guy named "Yikan" here in Austin. I don't think he goes by Brad though. Yikan is a really nice guy and has lots of rare corals.

I beleive he is on MAAST, I think I received PM's from him, but it could have just been e-mail. I'll check.

I think he has the blue chalice which is very cool. Enchinopora Lamellosa or something like that. Looks like a sky blue or pink montipora cap, with tiny bumps instead of the montipora texture. I have a piece in my tank that is doing very well. I saw it on Frags.org a year ago for $75 but now it looks like it can be had for only $25.
