I got an awesome new acro from Felipe and Sarah this week. They are really getting in some nice stuff. If you tell them what you are looking for, they make a special effort to get it in. I now have several corals from them in my tank and they are all doing very well.

Their livestock inventory is improving by the week as is their coral selection. They have great service and the tanks are nice and clean. Also a good place to go if you are looking for macros.

It is nice to see a store like this. I still love going to the other ones in town, but every store is a little different and I think Fin Addict can get a nice niche for themselves.

Im glad to see others singing praises of Fin-Addict.. these guys won me over with their incredible and personal customer service, healthy livestock, and great prices. Anyone who hasnt already dropped by owes it to themselves to check em out.. in fact, I think I'll make another trip tonight if I can. Maybe we'll make some smores!!

Josh - you were there yesterday? so what I till about 6pm. I want some of your zoos! lol

First time I had talked to Felipe in the 3 times I have browsed there. They have some large perculas there that are part of pairs. I have been trying to find a large one for awhile now for my widowed male and he didn't hesitate calling his supplier to see if he could get one for me. Very friendly people and I know I will be in there more often now. From the sounds of it, he wants to make the store better and better over time.

the only problem is that hes undercharging on his prices!!!! Too cheap! I hope hes at least making enough to stick around......I really like that place.

Yeah, I'm sure they might come up some overtime once he sees what his overall operating expenses are. But they have very low overhead so no need to mark things up to crazy like some stores. Also, I think as he mentioned to a customer yesterday while I was there, he is a hobbyist like the rest of us so he understands how price can be an issue on some things. I'm sure with as much support as they are getting now, they will be around for some time.

Dear Diary,

Did I just see Alex complaining that someone isn't charging him enough?
I must be hallucinating.

Yea that could be it. I must still be recovering from yesterday's withdrawl.

One thing I'll say for Felipe, he's dedicated to keeping his animals healthy and his systems in top shape. Right when he was getting ready to open, at the time when he was spending all that money and not taking anything in, he invested in a big skimmer and reactor from me, even though it's unlikely he'd get an immediate return on that expense, other than it would contribute to having a good environment for keeping animals healthy for the long term. Unfortunately, I left town before his store really got going, so i never got to see the stuff in action. Anybody been over there and seen the skimmer at work?

Yeah, I'd like to see some photos of it. If anybody's frequenting Alamo these days, they bought a 6fter right before I left. Wonder how that one is doing?

Next up is a 10" tube 4 beckett skimmer with a 4 ft length of tube. At least after I move into a house and get some tools, not to mention someone to buy it!

Felipe has a great thing going over there at his shop. I'm scared to figure out how much i actually spend there, so to keep me insane i don't look at my bank statements anymore. i also try and beat my wife home so i can get things into the tank before she notices. :o

i too get concerned that he doesn't make enough profit on the stuff he sells us to make the bills. I don't mind paying more if i great service and assistance when i need it. I hope we can all support his shop and keep him around for awhile.

LOL - I try & get stuff in the tanks before hubby gets home also - was kinda hard to hide the nano setup tho.... ;) I've also gotten some beautiful zoos from Felipe...he and Sara are great - even when they are very busy...they say how important customer service and attitude are for them.

Josh...you have really gotten some beautiful zoos.... :D

Yeah, they are way too nice there. I had them sell my 2.5 gallon tank setup there and they didnt even ask for comission, but I gave them 10%. Ive gotten some great stuff from Felipe and Sarah!!!
