Low pH

What is the best product to raise my pH back to 8.3? I use proper pH 8.3 but that did not help.

Justin, what is your alkalinity? What is your pH and what time do you test it? How did you add the "proper pH?" What is your alkalinity?

pH is not a static value, it is constantly changing in your tank. Unless your pH is less than 7.8, its probably not a big issue. Rather, testing for, and maintaining your alkalinity is a better way to control this water quality parameter. The problem is that there are a lot of products out there that can do this but most folks don't use them properly. Needless to say, pH can be a very complex parameter. IMO its a secondary issue. Alkalinity is a much more important factor, especially in a reef tank. If you maintain your alkalinity, your pH will follow. Alkalinity is a key factor in the pH you see when you test for it.
