just a quick question about my 240g project.

I have decided to go with 1.5" flex pvc ( spa flex ) for my suction end of my return pump and 1" flex pvc( spa flex ) for the suction end of my skimmer pump.

can I or should I treat the flex pvc as normal pvc and use pvc glue to connect to the bulkhead of my sump?

or would it be better to use large nipples with hose clamps?

thanks!

I was told the spa stuff can ve used just like PVC, so I would think glue it.

Yes, you can just glue it.

I glue it too and no problems, just be sure to use a good amount of glue to get under the ridges on the flex pipe. Make sure there is a bead of glue that comes out around the fitting, does not have to be too much but make sure it goes all the way around.
