What is this???

Have noticed lately what looks like a quarter-sized ball of what looks like spiderweb type of material in and underhang on my liverock. I can't really see what is inside. I've attached a few pics...sorry about the blurriness...


Any ideas?????

i've got quite a few of those growing in my tank. Some kind of tunicate I would assume.

SuperXThanks for the update. I've looked around the web for some pictures of tunicates and it does look similar. But the pictures I
saw didn't seem to have the outer web-type casing. Or maybe thats just its protection while its in a larval state. I'll do more research,
