These guys are just too much. I have had them for a year or so and they just need to go. Any ideas on how to trap them?

Take a clear plastic 12oz. coke bottle, cut the end with the hole in it off at the shoulder, invert that piece and push it inside the remaining bottle, submerge, put some live brine in it, sit back and watch.

Do what I did...take all your rock out.
Last resort of course, and usually what you wind up doing. Hopefully Jim's advice works better :)

You can use what ever size bottle you want.
You can also adjust the size of the opening to match the size of the fish by cutting the opening back to enlarge it.

This reminds me of my damsel trapping experience... had heard most folks had to take all their rockwork out, but I refused to do that. It took two days, but on the second day I started practicing/mastering the art of "net-fu" or "two handed netting." After about fifteen minutes I had them out, and it only cost me my dignity (Im sure I looked like an idiot with bright yellow rubber gloves, waving two huge green nets, surrounded by empty cups full of gatorade). Oh well.

i recommend using explosives to get rid of your damsel problem. a small charge of c14 will stun them, making it easy for you to pick them up off the floor as you mop up the tank water, too much c14, and you will be scraping them off the floor and ceiling. :skeezy:

Hand grenades also work.

And I thought my own idea of using a shotgun was overkill...of course, the advantage of the grenade method is you also get lots of frags in the bargain :D

Dont be ridiculous guys. None of this stuff is practical. If you want results, damsel seeking missiles are the only way to go.

There was a thing on reefcentral a few days ago about simply leaving the poerhead intake open and leaving the room for a few minutes.........
