:gasp: another question from me? who'd have guessed?
anyhow, I've got a piece of liverock (3x2x2) that I thought my slug had left slime on (clear dangling thing with sand stuck in it hanging around) but when the light goes out, and the lunar comes on, I see that the liverock lets down 5-6 (tentacles?) that are no bigger than a hair, but they stretch out and search the immediate rock, and contract every so often, they're about 3" long. What would this be?

Any suggestions are new to me, I am now seeing these are called "hitch hikers", and usually a picture is wanted for helping the identification, but I cant really get a decent pic of something no thicker/bigger than hair, and only in the pale lunar light :o

Thanks for hte input guys! That link, btw, is awesome! :D That's a great reference for me to use while talking to people at work too, so sweet deal. I'm glad the questions are welcomed, and hastily answered! Way better than the VW forum I use, but my model car is KNOWN to be nothing but problems, so the questions are aplenty, and often the same one, so I can understand why most of those guys are crabby and often unhelpful LOL
