I just got home and found this in my tank. Can someone please help me...
~ What happened to my featherduster and why did it lose it's head? :? It was doing fine, I've had it for 1 month everything else in the tank appears ok. Should I take it out? Leave it there? Is this bad for my tank?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Thanks
~TG~ Thelma

Leave the tube in there. Something probably stressed it out too much and caused it to lose its feathers. I learned this AFTER I tossed one of mine.

If there is a film, I would remove it. However, as MikeDel indicated, it could just be stressed. Just be sure to continue monitoring your water parameters and the featherduster for signs of "rotting". If so, remove it ASAP.

Keep us posted.
