Is there any other way to frag Zoo's besides breaking your rocks up or waiting for them to attatch to other substrate? Is it possible to cut or scape them? And if so How do you attatch them to rock, substrate, glue, bridle vail. Anyone with any experiance of fragging Zoo's your input would be greatly appreciated. especially from all you guys and gals who have those great looking Zoo's.

THANKS
BARRY

Like Josh said, I scrape them all the time and they do fine.

I have never paid close attention to the ones that were cut like you mentioned, but if one or two are harmed when fragging I wouldnt worry. In a couple weeks and a couple frags you will have plenty. You could also put rubble around the colony and they will spread on their own and just pull the rubble away with the new frags.

I use a scalpel and cut them at the foot. The foot will grow a new disk back.

They almost always survive. Just cut them off.

The foot will grow a new disk, but will the disk attatch and grow?

Yes, just make sure to wash your hands or wear gloves when you are fragging them. They release a very potent neurotoxin similar to botox.

Anthony Calfo tells a funny story about not being able to feel his face or taste anything for several days after absent mindedly putting his scapel between his teeth while fragging zoos. Palythoa are even worse.
