I am thinking of a new pump to run my setup. Have any of you run these pumps? I want lots of flow!

Thanks

I have one that I got plumbed in today. Super nice pump, lots of flow, I have the sting ray, which is 4500 GPH, or 3000 at 6 ft head.

I got one of the 5800 1000 series from azponds.com. Best price around, even with the saltwater seals added. These pumps are built rock solid. The reeflo series I heard are good also, just be careful with the housing, I have heard a few people break these off when trying to unscrew a coupling.

I got mine for $199, its the new reeflo series, got it from www.acropora.net. I had it in 3 days. I must admit, it is a bit noisy though, but not as loud as some others I have seen.

What size bulkheads arre you running this pump through? From what I read, they should be extremely quiet.

[/quote] i think it would quieter if your tank was drilled 1 1/2'' return. i have this same pump but waiting for my new tank before i hook it up. i will have 1 1/2'' returns and 2- 2'' drains on 2 -24''calfo's
