I was wondering does anyone have any idea what the green stuff on the back of my tank is? It looks like algae but I am not sure. There are also white dots that are kinda hard to get off. My goal is to have the coralline algae grow all over the back of my tank. What is weird is I have little spots of the coralline algae on the sides of my tank but none on the back wall. You can see the coralline aglae one the pipe next to it but no coralline on the back wall? Do you need to clean it more offen? I have turbo snails I my tank and am hoping to add more astrea snails to help with the green stuff. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Plastic grows coralline very well. It will slowly grow on the glass so be patient. Kalkwasser additions will make it grow faster. The green looks like algea, and the dots are probably a tiny filter feeding worm. Sorta like a little featherduster with a hard shell.

The dots could be snail egg cases. To get coralline to grow you will need to make sure your calcium and alkalinity are both in the proper range.

Well the picture is of a Long Tentacle Anemone when i got her, she was white but then turned light brown and now she is pretty white when light is on and brown when it goes off. I tried to get a clown to match but without luck. Does anyone know which anemone I would have most luck with?

Tim and Gary, Should I clean the back glass off or let it be? I am going to test the water this weekend and make sure it is right. If I should clean it how should I do it? I have a scrapper, should I use that? How offen should I clean it? Thanks

Long Tentacles are about as durable as they come. My guess is that its either not getting enough light or it needs to be fed. Try target feeding it with some mysid or krill.
