i recently, actually last sunday got a new shark to go in my 375 with my existing 3foot Epaulette shark. I went to the LFS here and they had this little female for a great price so i brought her home. She is a Coral Catshark, and is doing very well. eats like a pig, eats a lot of squid and shrimp, just like the male epaulette. at first i wasd hesistate on how the male would take her, first of all she is about 18inches and very small in girth, male is 3feet and very big!!! plus they are completely different species...They have bonded very well...the male follows the female around a lot and lies right next to her on a lot of occasions...they have done very well together and i am very excited for her future, she is a gorgeous shark that i hope i will have for years and years.....just wanted to share with you guys!!! here is a site with a picture of what she looks like, she is amazing in person and the pic does not do her justice.....hopefully i can put up picture of her, later....
here's some pics of the new shark and my other one...

yes fine sand is the best to have for shark and rays, and i do have the fine sand, the only drawback is when they play around in the sand, it kinda kicks it up and is a little cloudy for a few minutes...

It has just turned sw fairly recently....im not sure of the dimensions its kinda a hexagon at one end and square at the other end. I would guess several hundred gallons. Best i can remember they had 2 awesome rays that were gray w/bright blue spots and 2 sharks(dont kno what kind).

Is it the large tank that sits on the floor and is basically open top. I'll have to swing by after work and take a look now.

They are doing excellent sherri, they both eat like pigs and the male seems to follow the female around a lot....no fighting or anything else bad at all...

Yes Sherri, on his belly at first you could see some bruises, but all is clear now and he seems to have made a full recovery, becasue he is back to his normal behavior and is eating like a pig again.....

Congrats! I am glad the big guy pulled through OK. I was worried about him. They look very cool together.
