How cool is the Icecap ballast to the touch when it's running?

They run about 100-110 degrees on the outside. I can hold my hand on the 250w and it just feels warm. I don't have to pull my hand off because it is hot.

The reason I'm asking is that I can buy the 150Watts ballast at 15% off until September 29th. Later on down the road in a few short months, Icecap is going to come out with new ballast enclosure. The new enclosure serves as an additional hit sink to cool the ballast down. The ballast would be wired inside the new enclosure and there would be an on and off switch. I don't remember the Icecap MH ballast being too hot, so I wasn't sure why the enclosure would be needed other then to extend the life of the electronic ballast.

Vinh,
The CoralVue electronic ballast already contain a heat sink around them plus two colling fans, same warranty as IceCap and use less juice (about half the amps), plus I get get them for you probably cheaper then IceCap with the %15 discount.
