I was one of the many that got an RBTA from Tim's group order. Thanks again Tim. The RBTA appeared to be doing fine and was eating pieces of silverslides. Everything looked great, until. Last weekend I was cleaning the top of the tank (acrylic tank that has cutouts). I turned around to pick up some towels and WHAM the lid slammed down shattering one of my 96 watt PC bulbs. The glass pieces fell on and directly around my RBTA. I picked out all the pieces and removed what I could see from the RBTA and turned on my carbon filter with new carbon. That night he moved into my rockwork and I did not see him again until last night when I moved some rocks around looking. I found what was left him. . Rest in piece RBTA. Nothing else in the tank appears to have any ill effects from the glass episode. I'm thinking he may of tried to ingest a small piece of glass that landed on him and that's what caused his death.
Hopefully everyone else is having better luck than I am. I'll be looking to see if anyone's RBTA splits in the future.
