One of my true percs has a couple of white-ish sores underneath what his lower lip would be..im very nervous since its my favorite fish, it sucks because i have been taking extra care on this tank and one morning it just appeared..please..any help is appreciated..thanks

There are several parasitic diseases that appear as whitish discoloration...ich, brooklynella and amyloodinium come to mind. What is his behavior like? Any fast breathing, erratic swimming, etc? Is he eating?

Hyposalinity is probably your best bet if he has one of these. Brooklynella is pretty hard to deal with, IIRC, but should still respond.

Thanks for the respond. Well, she eats like a pig and swims all over the tank with her other half..no discoloration, its defenately not ich, her breathing is fine, normal..its weird tho..thanks for the respond.

does she fight with anyone? could be an injury...

No Ram..Im really worried...as of this morning they look reddish..i am going to put her in QT in hypo..i have no clue what to do..maybe some formalin..wished i knew what it is..
