I was wondering if anybody has had these before , and if they could tell me whether they are very hardy, and if they are reef safe

Keep in mind they hide most the day for most.

My cleaner shrimp would come up to clean my finger when I put it in the water. He would be out most of the day, except after molting. Very cool shrimp, although I think he ended up a feeder shrimp for my flower anemone....
On the other hand, my fire shimp would hide all day, but when he did come out, he looked so cool, but thats about it, never did anything cool. Not sure what happened to him, just disappeared one week. Not sure where.
I say get the cleaner shrimp...

I have two fire shrimp and one peppermint. The fire shrimp roam around all day. They come up on my hand when I stick it in the tank. The peppermint however hides out all day.
