Hi:

This is yikan from Austin. I got a couple of frags from a fellow hobbyiest; great looking frags but I noticed some red flat worm on them. I haven't put the frag in my tank, and want to dip them in Flat Worm Exit asap. I post a thread on the WTB forum for it already.

The frags are still in the bags and I need to do the dip now. If you have the product (even if it is open), let me know and I will buy from u. Also is there any other proven way to get rid of the red flat worm on a frag? I heard FW dip can bs stress to SPS so I am hesitant to do it. Is it true?

thx

yikan

Flatworms will die after only about a 10 sec. dip in FW. Most of those coral dips are just diluted Lugol's anyway.

I dip with a couple of drops per gallon in saltwater. Don't freak out over the flatworms. They are not the end of the world. I think more damage is done by aquarists trying to kill them than by the worms themselves. Its to late to dip the frags. You'll have to treat your whole tank if that is what you decide to do.
