Well,
the first big equipment piece for my new 375 gallon tank. But, of course I couldn't wait so I had to plumb it up to my current 75 gallon. Just finished installing it today. One of the last skimmers made by Matt. I am using a panworld 250PS to push it, and it creates some Major Foam. Here's the pic, sorry about the quality and lighting.

Yea,
I don't think I'll be putting this under the stand, YET! hehe, my tanks not going to be that big! Anyways after I hooked it up I just had to sit and stare at it for awhile, I was in amazement to see this beast up and running. I will post pics of it running a little later. I also ordered my tank last week, it should be completed in 3-4 weeks. Now, I am set with the task of building the stand for my new tank. I was thinking 4 - 4x4 's across the front and back. Then using 2x8's across the top. Any ideas, anyone build a big stand like this? I want it to be about 36" tall.

It's finally here. Final dimensions 96x36x25
From Glass cages. Front three panels 1/2" low iron. 3/4" Bottom. 16 Holes, schedule 80 BH. It was built very solid and exactly to my specifications. He was able to build it with a completely open top and a large 5" eurobracing.

I think it weighs around 700 lbs. Now I just need to finish the stand so I can move it out of the garage. :-D

Tank looks awesome Jeff, I am so glad that the shipping company did not destroy yours too. So you noticed the fork lift drivers buzzing aroung too...huh

Man the tanks from glasscages are even better looking than I thought. I really didn't get to get a good look at mine since it was in a bunch of small pieces...lol

Wow, that should be an awesome tank when you get it set up. Actually it looks pretty awesome there in the garage too! Lots of room in there for the fish to swim around for sure, lol

Thanks,
yea those guys in the warehouse were buzzing left and right with packages all around them. I watched them carefully.

Don,
our tanks were probably sent down in the same truck together. I just picked mine up yesterday. I think the supervisor came out and operated the fork lift to pick up my tank. I thought that was a little weird, but now i understand with your tank just getting crashed the day before. I think I was dreaming all night about my tank, now that it is actually here. Lot's of work to do now.

Dan,
you can come by this weekend if you want to see it. I still have it sitting in the garage. I live in LaVernia now, about 30 mins south of SA.

I ordered it from www.glasscages.com, they do have a list of prices on their website.

Here are a couple more pics:

What was the price difference between regular glass and sapphire?

I just checked out their site and will give them a call this week about a new 180 gal.

I upgraded to the "low Iron" glass from them for my 240g and it was only $150 more...but it was only the front and two sides.
