does this seem like a good buy? My tank seems to get in the 85 F. area these days and i fear it may go to 87 if i dont have ac on full blast
does this seem like a good buy?

The key thing with those smaller Titans is that it will not drop the tank below room temperature. If your room temp is getting up there, the Titan will not help, but if your room temp stays around 78 or lower, it will help you out.

Dan, I can't remember exactly where, but there was a pretty negative write up on a Titan Chiller on reef central, in the interests of being fully educated on your purchase you might want to give it a search. just to be on the safe side.

Have you tried running a couple fans for cooling? If you have an auto top off a fan will drop your tank a couple degrees. If you run 2 fans you can bring it down about 4 degrees below room temp even with halides on. I set mine to turn on with the lights.
