Oh man, I had some rocks get covered with grape and NOTHING would touch it; eventually I ditched the rocks. Try a sea hare, maybe a lettuce nudibranch. Maybe, and it's not the greatest chance but maybe, you can find a diadema urchin to eat this stuff. I asked Ron Shimek about an aquarium-safe predator for grape caulerpa and he said "the aquarist".

On another note, your acrylic stuff is finished, all three pieces, so come and get it soon!!!

When I first bought my yellow tang from Tim Marvin he gave me a bag of what I think was grape caulerpa. The tang ate it like crazy, couldn't get enough. I don't want to give you bad information, I'm not too familiar with this stuff, but I thought it was grape caulerpa. Double check with Tim, he can confirm...

I had a purple tang that would eat the stuff. It's very hit and miss though, you can take some to aquatic warehouse with you and see if they'll let you try some with the different tangs to see who might eat it best. That was what I did, but eventually still had to take the rock out and strip it all off.

My one-spot rabbit eats it like crazy, as well as my tangs (chocolate and powder blue, as well as the purple). You do have to reduce the amount of greens you supply them in order to get them to munch on it, though.

At the time I was looking for a caulerpa eater, I took some caulerpa to aquatic warehouse, fed the tangs, took home the one that ate it most readily. Once the fish was in my tank it refused to eat any of the same caulerpa it ate at the fish store. Hmmmm.... monts latet the fish was healthy and growing but not eating caulerpa

My purple tang, powder blue, surgeon, dejardin all munch the stuff. I have none in the main tank so its like a treat to them. I dont feed it to them as much as I should.

If its green a Foxface will eat it. I thought nothing would touch Chaetamorpha until I got a Foxface. I got it to clean up a little bubble algae. It did, as well as some Chaetamorpha and Bryopsis. He sucks up Caulerpa like noodles.

That's interesting. I grabbed some grape caulerpa that someone brought to a meeting at Misti's once as I didn't have much of anything growing in my fuge. Now I wish I had never touched the stuff! It roots into the live rock and sand bed and is nearly impossible to get rid of. I tried putting some on a veggie clip in the main tank, but my naso and blue tang wouldn't touch the stuff. I figured my naso tang would as it acts like a shark anytime I put seaweed in for him. Oh well, he won't touch Formula 2 flakes either while all my other fish go crazy for it. I guess it's just a matter of what they are used to/spoiled on! lol

I have seen a fox face eat it, even play with it some up at Aquatek. There are some different varieties of them around though so I'm not sure if all are the same. Aquatic Warehouse had a beautiful Silver/Magnificent Rabbitfish there recently. It was good size so they wanted like $99 for it.
