I just finished replacing my main pump with a new Sequence Hammerhead pump. I went from a Dolphin 5200 (that died) to this one. I really like this pump. The noise level in my fish room decreased about 90% and the Sequence pump puts off very little heat. It is a lower rpm pump than the Dolphin, but my water flow is about the same as it was, maybe a little more. I had to throttle the Dolphin back a little, the Sequence runs full open.
The other bonus, 3 amps on the Sequence vs. almost 9 on the Dolphin. My electric meter slowed down a little. Not much, but a little.
If you are looking for a well-built, quiet and efficient pump, these seem to be good (after running for a day)
