there is a "J" tube, and u put a little airtube in there, way up there at the top of the bend, make sure both end are under water and suck, makes the air go up and disappear into the airtube and the J tube will be filled up with water...hope i'm not explaining too complicated...lol

you might have some very small bubbles at the top of the bend but your pump should push most of those out in time. if the air pocket gets bigger than you need a bigger pump. if you have a three tuber than you can pull one out and that will increase you water flow to the other tubes. if you have a 1 tuber and still getting air in the tube than you need a bigger pump. hope this helps

If you have a small air pocket pick up on the back of the overflow box to where the part inside the tank is submerged as much as possible. The air bubble will flow out of the U-tube/tubes and you can then let the box back down to where it should be. Hope I explained that well enough, basically you are wanting to get the front of the U-tube in as much water to allow the air to flow back and out.

OK, my front peice is adjustable to change the flow rate.......I will let it down all the way to get rid of the air and then adjust it back..

Thanks for the help.....I do need it flowing kind of slow being that it is a fuge....

It doesn't have to flow really slow through the refugium. If it goes too slow you are inviting cyano.
