prizm skimmer

O.K. I have a prizm hang on the back type skimmer in my little 29 gallon, BUT IT STINKS. Does anyone have any recomendation on what type of backpack skimmer works the best or do they all just stink?

Get either the CPR backpak or the Remora hang ons. I'd also make sure I got the preskimmer box for either one.

IMO they're all about the same, but everyone else seems to think the remora is much better than the prizm. I had both for a while and they seemed to pull about the same amount of crap. I suppose the best thing would be the remora pro with the mag pump.

I worked at austin aquariums for a bit, and I went in with a very jaded opinion of prism skimmers. But I have to admit, if they're set up right they're actually not that bad. They're pretty good for smaller tanks. I've thought about using one on my 10 gallon nano....

The remora is in a different class altogether though. Great skimmers. They can handle much larger tanks...

I run a PM HOT-1 on my main tank, its a scum sucking machine! IMO, as good or better than the Remora pro.... Looks cool too! Running a BakPak on my 20 tall and its no where near the skimmer the PM is...

I have a remora pro and a prizm, not running th prizm, the remora rocks hard. it is an awesome skimmer.
