My return pump is on its last breath after a major disaster this weekend and will be dead in a day or two. I need to replace it with another pump that runs in the 4-5000 gph range. I had a Dolphin Aqua Sea 5200. I could go with that, but Champion Supply has a Dolphin Aqua Sea 5600 that does 6400 gph at only 3.3 amps versus my 8.9 amps on the 5200. The 5600 is not a pressure pump, but does that really matter for my return pump on about 8' head. The 5200 is a pressure pump, but I have to throttle it way back.

Which one should I use? Speed is of the essence as I have to get it overnighted to me. They cost about the same.

Blake - sent you a PM on my Sequence pump. If you need to use it to hold you over for awhile, you are more than welcome to try it.

Blake what happened? Everything looked good when I was over last weekend ... hope all the live stuff is OK - pumps are replaceable!

I have a brand new Blueline/Panworld 200PXX sitting in a box waiting for my system setup, but it is only a 1750GPH. In/Out are 1" MPT

You are welcome to it if it wil help you through a pinch!

I am going to pickup one from captexas today. Mine is still working, but is not long for this world. It is running very hot and is making some bad noises. I shut it down for a few hours last night to check it out, but could not find anything immediately wrong with it. All of my livestock is fine, no problems, just lost a few RBTA's, which were the cause of the problem in the first place.

I think I am going with the Hammerhead pump. Those have gotten great reviews. Thanks for the offer on the pump, but I should be able to limp home on the remains of the Dolphin.

I am getting back to normal. Just ordered the new Sequence Hammerhead pump. Got it from Premium Aquatics for $249.99, which is a very good price. This pump is supposed to use a little less that 396 watts, 5400 gph. Just what the doctor ordered.....
