Ill be leaving soon and I have to leave the tank in the care of my 15yr old and wifes hands. I have made a list of daily, weekly and monthly chores. I have been showing her for the past 2 weeks "how to" and if there are any other thoughts just in case Im forgetting something please post. Thanks

How long will it be in their "capable" hands? Maybe a LFS owner in the area would be wiling to make weekly "Check Up" visits for a nominal charge?

OK, but you are passing up a perfectly good justification to the wife for putting your reef "On Line". Just think, all us MAAST members could pan/tilt/zoom your WebCams all day long and send you PM's of what you are doing wrong :lol:

Just thought Id update ...

Im impressed, the wife is doing fine taking care of the tank in my absence including testing the water. She wishes I never showed her the picture of the infected hand though :-D . The real test will be this week end with a water change :shock:

Pete, I'll be doing a "mini"version of what you are doing .. I am going on travel to Oakland Mon-Fri next week and need to leave a VERY uncooperative skimmer in the hands of my wife. I am getting the water change and a full maintenance cycle this weekend so it will be in good shape heading into the week.

Guess I'll need to fork out for a nice dinner when I return :grin:
