Auto Top off question.....

I am building my first auto top off system and wanted to be 100% certain on this.....

I am making the assumption that because it is Top Off water replace evaporation that it needs to be fresh water and not salt water.

Is this correct??????

yes, when water evaporates it takes water out, and leaves salt, so if u add saltwater ur salinity will be through the roof!!!!top-off with freshwater...

That is what I was thinking but just wanted to be 100%......better to ask and succeed then not and fail I aways say!
