i have a question for anyone who has had experience with the cpr bak-paks. i just bought one and i accidently broke the intake tube. i did find a replacement part but it is for the bak-pak2 and the one i have is the bak-pak2r. are the intake tubes the same size or are they different?

You could call MarineDepot and check on the part as Im sure they stock it.

I broke mine when I first got it. CPR will send you a new one for like $12 IIRC. Anyways, i believe the are the same size, but I think the returns are in a diff position...

The 2 and the 2R input is the same. The difference is the inside. The 2R doesnt have media, so no bacteria producer.

okay, that's kind of what i figured from the pictures but i wanted to be sure. i ordered the replacement part from ameka for $10. thanks for the help guys!

i screwed in the first half of the intake into the second half too far and the next thing i heard was a crack and it kind of just fell off. oops!
