The brochure states 55g. I am guessing that is the 5' version and the filtration must be located remotely.

youd have to buy the version with a stand then get a special made sump/fuge to fit in the stand and drill the middle bottom of the tank. then run the return and the drain lines from the center.

thats the only way i see any type of filtration working on this and having it look semi-good.

In the suspended model it might be possible to run the plumbing through the suspension tubes hiding everything above.

I don't know a price but they look really cool. You could pump the water to a remote location and have a really cool FO tank.

I believe I read that the filtration was built into the unit but not sure where they would put it...as for remote location...cool but how big would those pumps end up being...would be interested in getting a price just to know :>

So if my kids run into the tank, thats how many tons of water up on an ity bity pedistal or hanging by an inch of plastic? The rest is left for your imagination to figure it out.

Yeah, there have been a few other posts on here about that tank. I think I also read the filtration was built in some how. That mahogany tank is beautiful!

The tank appears to be very thin which is not good IMO. How are we going to clean the sharp ends of the tank? It will not look good with dirty ends after a month or so.
I would not buy it. IMO, the most important factor of aquarium is its ability to accommodates the living occupants. IMO, this aquarium fails in this most important respect.

I emailed the manufacturer to get more info because I though they looked cool. My best thought for implementation of this tank would be as a design feature for a house or business. I would populate it as a fish only tank and run remote filtration to scrub the water. Over filter it with wet/dry, fluidized sand bed, and UV to keep the water crystal clear. You could plumb it to a closet or garage. I would run no substrate with fake or dead coral type decorations and house creatures that are not generally reef safe. The 10' version with a couple of triggers would be awesome. Cleaning would be tricky but with a little ingenuity you could craft some tools to scrub the acrylic face and corners of the tank.

I will probably never want to pay for a tank of this size and shape, but I don't know any prices. I love my reef tanks and really enjoy watching everything grow but I still get the itch to run a predator tank to display the beautiful creatures that I will never put in a reef.

But, those tanks look really cool. I love seeing inovation in aquaria furniture and display.
