Have yall done something like this, I know the sump wont slide in, I don't want to drain. I just need to know some more info, I don't want any disasters happening in my house.

I don't see any reason to not do it. Even if you can't brace it, just make the switch extra fast, perhaps having some friends support the front edge??? Seems to me if you clear out the cabinet and get it ready, you should be able to remove the brace, slide it in, and rebrace it within a matter of minutes???

haha, I'll see what my Dad say's he would probly know. There is not that much weight in there, just water and some fragments of rock that was in my garage. This guy had a lot of stuff in there.

No offense, but this is a really bad idea. What are you thinking, it'll be like in the cartoons where they walk off the end of a cliff but don't fall down for the first few seconds? :-D If it's gonna break, it's gonna happen FAST! Plus, as soon as any sagging in the middle happens, good luck getting the brace back in.

Looks like a very bad idea to me.

Be sure to video it for us!!! :-D Like Matt said, it's gonna go fast. You'll hear a snap then a bang!!!

What size tank is it? Water is like 8-8.5lbs a gallon. What is the length? Can you post a picture? :)

Why not drain the water in to a trash can so you can put it back?

Well we do need a new trash can, I suppose I could get a new one use it for this then use it for trash.

i think it a lot of work for nothing. he could have moved the center brace with no effect on the tank and just put the sump in. the tank is built to hold its own. i'v see tanks with just 4 cender blocks at each corner with a 2x4 going across with no problem. some people love making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Did you notice in the second pic the guy has a satellite dish installed on the right front corner of the sump? Very cutting edge technology... :-)

It's kinda funny seeing pics of your old equipment outta the blue - I sold that guy his skimmer that you see in the pic - the EV 200. Great skimmer, btw......

Mark's always experimenting with all kinds of things. He did a great job on that sump.... It looks great in place.
