Mixing 2 types of salt mix.

My new tank is at 1.020, I don't want to have to go out and buy another bag of mix. I used Instant Ocean, but I a small bag of Oceanic salt mix. Can I mix the 2 to raise the salinity up? (There is nothing in the tank right now)

Raising the salinity by .005 with a different mix shouldnt be a problem at all.

o boy, well I added the mix, but when I reached for the hydrometer I knocked it off the hood and it hit the floor. The little circle weight thing fell off the needle :cry2: Lets see this week I have broken a hydrometer, heater and my 6 in 1 cleaning thing. lol
