i cant think of the name of what the display read out devices are for these three things. id like to get one of each to have a small display area of these parameters. does anyone know where i can find stuff like this?

also i need temperature based switch. i want to set my peltier device system up to something that monitors the temp and switches on and off depending on the temp i set it for. where can i get one of these?

thanks, steve

what im looking for is a thermometer that if it goes over a specific temp it will switch on a device that i have plugged into it(in this case the peltier i have planned) kinda like how many of us have our float switches set up.

am i at a loss here and the only option is to buy one of these 250 dollar devices???

omg!!! 1200 bux?!?!?

i guess there isnt anything like this cheap then huh?

this is for the minibow and id like to keep it under what it costs for an iceprobe so thats why im looking, to make an article about a diy iceprobe for cheaper than to buy it.its not lookin good so far :(

Also, my best guess is you might need 2 of them to bring down the temp under the 150 MH.

jejeje**sinister chuckle** and iceprobe.....pshaw, im going into the big leagues with my diy chiller idea! the iceprobe uses a 50watt peltier device to chill it.......im using a 325 watt peltier!!! mwajajaja!!!

but seriously i dont think the one made for iceprobes will allow for as much voltage as i have coming from the power supply to the peltier.

i guess ill just have to cough up 100 bux to buy a cheapy temp controller, sigh, oh well.

i dont think ill do this until after i have my lights up and running though, i want to see if the fan system i have planned will be as efficient as ive been told it is ;)

MED USA has a dual temperture controller I think it was 150 bucks. I have one I am not going to use anymore, Tim Marvin has dibbs on it. If he passes I will let you know. I would like 100 Bucks for it. Theres also a single controller that was cheaper. I got it from Premium Aquatics. It controlled my A/C Unit before I got the 230Volt Unit. Seems to of worked well. Will controll up to 15 Amps cool/heat
