just bought a 4" naso tang at fintique for $16.12 and a cleaner shrimp for $11.62. i just thought this was an excellent price.

It sounds like you hit bag day.

Fintique used to get a lot of Phillipine fish that had really poor survival rates. They are getting critters from better suppliers now. I have gotten several fish from them when I was re-stocking my tanks after I moved and was very happy with the survival rates of them.

The only thing I don't like is that the fish stay in the bags all day. They are already stressed from being shipped and should be acclimatized on arrival. If you are going to buy fish on bag day, you should get there early when they open at 10:00. There is usually a line waiting for them to unlock the doors. Not only is better for the fish, but there is a lot better selection when they open.

you can also order from them and get the discount(save from the fight over the bags), and i have noticed they order from sea dwelling the same as alamo.

Yea,

IMO Sea Dwelling is a quality vendor. The shop in New Orleans that we went to used them as well. It was probably the best LFS we have ever dealt with and I respected the owners opinion on suppliers.
