dead chevron

i came home to see my chevron stuck on the overflow. i dont know what happened it looked fine no marks on it. could it of gotten caught by the suction. i am so sad, :cry: ,

That is very sad Gator, I would not think the overflow would of sucked him up. Something else, but what? Sorry about your loss.

everything looks great the other 3 chevrons are eating and swimming around, he had no ick or anything he just died over night he was very healthy

it was not a juvenile but he was not veryold i have had it for around a year

That's not good. Having seen your tank, I have only two ideas. Might just unfortunately be like what we were talking about that sometimes it just happens. Keep a close eye on the other tangs. You removed that fuge, could it be possible that something got triggered and you got an ammonia spike? Run a quick test and see if the ammonia levels spiked a little. Only thing I can think of.
