Ok so you guys saw how I spiffed up my tank....

Well now the left overflow gurgles every like 5 seconds....

How would I make a standpipe for these little boxes? Just get an elbow and point it down?

Kai I know you have a similar setup goin on for your tank...how did you set that overflow up?

Ok looks like I'll put a T on the bulkhead, with one side pointing up and the other side pointing down into the water. Then cap off the top and drill and air hole...sound right?

If You don't have enough room take a street 90 and insert that into the bulkhead, have it turn sideways and put Your Tee on it.

What if I just get a bigger pump? I don't think I'm giving these guys enough water....

Wait did you mean inside or outside of the tank? Like put the elbow and the T inside the overflow box?

Does the T have to be straight up and down? This side of the tank, the plumbing angles diaganolly down/accross the back.

I bought some CJ stand pipes from a guy that I bought a great skimmer from on e-bay a couple of months ago

these pipes are SUPER QUIET! they were $25 for two

he used to have a website called nautilus reef supply now I think he just works through e-bay..you will have to do a search for skimmers on e-bay until you find the posieden 2 skimmer then find other products by this seller.

you wont be disappointed!!!!

Yes it will work better. You always can put a 45 below the Tee. Here is a pic of my tee. You can't see it but I use a 90 inside the Overflow box. That 90 is turned with the opening down.
