Test kits

I finally got my test kits in yesterday and I'm confused! My PH read 8.2, 0 Iodide/Iodine and the calium (Hagen) read 1000. I knew the calcium couldn't be right so I retested. Again it read the same. I experimented with using the pipette instead of the bottle dropper and this time it read 500. Can someone explain what I am doing WRONG??

I can't explain it, but you can take your water to Aquatek and get them to test nearly everything for free... but calcium costs a $1. I would do that just to see if you test kit is in the same ballpark.

I'm sure it's operator error :oops: Just need to figure out what Im doing wrong.

Go see Kathy at Gallery of Pets she will test it for free. Take your kit with you & see if they have any pointers for you.
