The only book I have is
Eric Borneman's Aquarium Corals
As far as I can tell, lots of good info ...
no, I'm not selling it ;-)

The three volume Veron series is excellent for getting an understanding of corals - also has actual skeleton pictures so you can ID some with a little work. Calfo's book of Coral Propogation and Voume 2 of 'The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium' are also good reads on understanding SPS and coral biology in general.
I have all of the above mentioned books in my library you are free to borrow if you like.

I agree with the Corals of The World set but the first book of the trilogy is the best for acropora and montipora. I can't tell you how many times I've picked that book up the others I don't use near as much.

Steve, yes, the COTW, volumn 1 does also show the corals in full color. It also tells where each species is collected from, colors normally found in the ocean, growth patterns too. It has each species divided into catagories with like species grouped together. It also tells whether a certain species is common, not so common or rare. :-D
Be careful as the first couple of days looking at this book can cause your eyes to cross, and your brain to turn to jelly. LOL...
