I like those! I can add twice the stuff to a power strip.

Since we are on the subject of Electric, Who has a generator or battery back up for their tank.

And is a PC battery back up good enough for at least some pumps?

I have a backup on my streams. I dont know how long they will stay running but it is there. Twice the stuff double the fire risk. LOL I would really like them for the bulky timers we all have.

Throw some salt creep on them and it's a good fire/shock hazard.

RobertG, unplug your power and see how long those streams will run!! It's good to discharge the Battery several times a year.

I will try that one day when I'm messing around in there. Hate the noise it makes when the power is lost. Steady tone!

I should be able to calculate how long it would last based on how much power is used by the stream and how long the back up last in mA per hour

It looks like this one will last 179 Min APC BACK-UPS RS 800VA 120V (http://www.apcc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BR800&fnl=4605,2&fnl_b asket=4605,3c)
