Just wanted to know what size is good? I got a 75 gl in my storge I wanted to use that one but just wanted to get a second opinion. Also do i have to get it drilled or i can use HOB. Thanks

You don't have to drill it, but what type fish are you thinking?

hey 30 where are u located, i know some of us on MAASR including myself have many big FOWLR tanks and you could get a good idea of the set-up, in your case i would just use a HOB overflow, and take it down to a sump. definetely a skimmer, and maybe a UV if you can afford it

BA noted a pretty good set-up for fish only. If that is too much a HOB some LR and lots of caulerpa. Make a refugium out of it for the fish to live in. You can add a couple grazers like tangs if you get enough caulerpa growing, or just section off a part so they don't eat it all.

good idea Tim, lots of Live rock will help a lot, and a refugium is a good idea, just depend on what you want to keep....dirty eaters ex. triggers,puffers, etc. will need a skimmer and maybe a UV, others might just need a fair amount of Live rock, plus a HOB, depends on what you are looking for

hey BA I at 1604 @ culebra It would be great to see a set-up. Also what kind of fish you got... I really want some nice lookin fish mybe some angels you know the type of fish you dont see in Reef thanks...I got a CPR skimmer that i used on my 30gl but a sump sounds better. I could use PC right?? How much watts for a 75 gl LRWFO tank

well for FO tanks reg flourescent lights are fine IMO , unless you plan on keeping some things in there like caulerpa,mushrooms,xenia... just some stuff to help clean up and like the dirty water, i have 3 FOLW tanks, a 100,125,and my new 375... i also have a 110 and other smaller tanks(30,35,30,18) but they are reef. i have a 32inch Epaulette shark, 13inch lionfish, stars and stripes puffer (around 8inches) blue tang( meanest fish i have), scorpionfish, snowflake eel, of course i would like to get angels and triggers, but i can't keep them in w/ my shark....so oh well, i'm going to put my shark in my 375 along w/ my lionfish and scorpionfish, then i will get more sharks and rays, plus maybe a large lunar wrasse and maybe 3or more purple tangs for color, as soon as i get everthing running on my 375 i want to have a meeting here, but if you wanna come over before that get a look, if you can you can drop by thursday when i get all of the RBTA order in and see some stuff...if not later on in the years when everything is set-up..
