I have to tell this story, it was too funny.
I have a long nosed hawkfish that is one of my favorites. Two days ago, I was looking at the tank, and I noticed he was missing. I dropped a little food in there and he was a no show. I figured the little guy croaked.
Well, for the previous few days, I have been moving rock and fish from my old system to the new tank. I had a foot stool in front of the new tank with a cup of saltwater resting on it.
Yep, you guessed it, he had jumped from the tank and made a perfect dive right into the (and it is small) cup sitting on the stool. He was swimming around in 1" of water and seemed just fine. I released him back into the big tank and put the top on it. He does not seem too anxious to jump now.
