MAAST Finances

I was just wondering how much money maast actiully has in the bank. Do we have a checking acount exspecially for this organization set up to keep track exspenses. We never talk about any of this at the meeting and i was jsut curious how well maast is doing and would like to see where our donations, raffle money etc.. is going.

before everyone gets angry with me for asking this question i am not acusing or implying anything, i just want to understand where we are financially.

No one is going to get angry, lol, you have a well founded question. Our club meetings have always been informal rather than going through procedures and making those kind of announcements. I don't think any of us have even thought about presenting this sort of info at those times and that could be changed for future meetings.

Misti is our club treasurer and I'm sure she will be glad to provide the answers to your questions when she reads your post. We do have a bank account set up that contains money from membership dues. I think most, if not all of our sponsorship income has been in the form of dry goods that have been raffled or given away as door prizes at past meetings.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make the next meeting (it was moved to my Cozumel/Cancun week), but I will send a current print up of the account info for the members to see. Right now we have not really spent $$ on anything other than the BBQ. We are trying to get a guest speaker, which will use a lot of our funds!

I will make sure that there is a financial statement at the meeting.

Although the club is great it wouldn't be a tough decision for me either.
