As some of you know I have a Xanthichthys Ringens (Sargassum Trigger). I have had her for about a month and have never seen her eat. Does anyone have any experience with this fish? She seems to be in good shape, not shrinking or ill. She's very shy and only comes out of the rock work a couple of times a day.

My book on Marine Fishes by Scott W. Michael has the typical trigger info. Meaty Treats.

Any suggestions would be great!

The only thing I could find was they eat plankton. If so what's the best place to solve this issue. I did see her picking on my caulerpa.

The 3 or 4 that I've stocked readily ate mysis, brine, krill. Not really picky at all. They were very shy at first and only grabbed pieces that came near their hiding spot. Also they seemed to become much bolder when they had some larger active tankmates (tangs, angels etc.)

Try some live ghost shrimp (saltwater ones if you can find them), not too many triggers can resist those. Some of the FW ghost shrimp will last a day or so in saltwater, others die pretty quick.
