Hi guys - I just upgraded my 55+ to a 75. It looks pristine in the new digs so I thought I'd snap a few shots.

A side note - I decided to show what the white balance on a digital camera can do. The pics were taken at three different settings - it should be pretty obvious but I'll note each pic. But it really goes to show that you can only take color with a grain of salt as far as digital photos are concerned. BTW - the lights on the tank are 3x250 20000k xm's.

Another side note - you'll notice a lack of hair algae! Wooo hoooo finally got the upper hand!

Here's the first pick - it's a whole tank shot and its color is warmed a bit from straight 20000k, although I took some at a warmer setting.

this next shot is I think one of Tim's frags that I bought at aquatek. It is taken without adjusting the auto white balance. It's straight up 20000k....

whoa - that came out a little blurry and grainy - I think I had to pare it down too much to put it up.

darned rabbit fish wouldn't stay out of the shots, so I snapped one of him. :-D This was taken with the warmest color balance adjustment of the shots....

here's the right side of the tank - again taken with the warmest setting I used on the shots (I could warm it up more but this was obviously enough - I thought this setting was a little over the top for my taste)

Yes, that would be one of my frags. I beleive all the frags being sold at Aquatek right now have been produced by me. That is one of my favorites. The dark purple and neon green looks so much better in good light, Aquatek could use a little actinic on that tank to really bring out the colors, Bruce and I have talked about it and we'll see.

I've got the coolest little anemone's in my tank - not sure where they came from. You can see one splitting in the last shot. Thats about as big as they get. They're real sticky like a carpet. They reproduce quite a bit, but the seem pretty well behaved and don't seem to sting much. I have one in that moved to the middle of a huge patch of xenia and isn't bothering it. They're also pretty easy to remove...or seem to be. If anyone has any experience with them let me know.

Thanks guys - later. :D

I'm glad it was there - it's an awesome frag! Is it a pretty fast grower?

KaJeff - I think the common name is "scribbled rabbit fish". He's a cool little fish. :D

Tim - I might like to get another frag, that's one kewl little coral! ;)
