Hey chris You might want to check into this little mod of Your overflow box http://www.dursostandpipes.com/ look for stockman hangon overflow under popular modifcations. That may cure the noise issue You are talking about.

I thought about that...the only reason I haven't looked into it more seriously is that Lifereef essentially says you're on your own if you modify the overflow this way. It's recently come to my attention that they're finalizing a design for one they'll sell to go with their overflow, so I will probably just wait and get one of these.
