I have a tank that is drilled for 1/2" bulkhead and I need it to be a 1" bulkhead. Does anybody have a holesaw for that. Or maybe a dremel tool. I done talked to AW they are tied up 'til the end of the month. Who else will drill tanks?

Are you talking about a glass tank? If so, you might try aqua trends. If it's an acrylic tank i might be able to help you out.

to do it right you need a sintered diamond core drill bit, water swivel adapter, coolant and of corse a drill press. i wouldnt bother with the dremel, end up having to but 2-3 bits, hours of frustration, and a good possibility of cracking your tank; maybe not immediately but over time stress will crack due to a hasty method of modification. would recommend a store to drill the holes, easier.

Thad Zeigler glass drilled my first tank, but they cracked it. Not sure i would take the gamble of having it drilled there again.

I have drilled multiple tanks with a dremel and diamond bits. It works pretty well. I would not want to attempt it on thicker glass. Over a .25 inch takes a lot of time and it is very likely that the glass will crack.

I went to Aquatrend/Forever Pets today. They drilled it for a reasonable $20.00 while I waited. Excellent service over there. Nice big store, very clean, very organized.

You got any 3/4 loc-line? I'd be willing to trade for that. For now I just got a bushing to make the 1/2" wrok. Doesn't look too terrible. I am also looking for a 1"slip/thread Bulkhead. Where did You buy these?
