Co2 Tank size

I am going to start buying my components for a calcium reactor setup and what size tank should I get? Who has the best prices? Oh yeah what is a good regulator and again who has the best prices?

ebay has a good regulator JBJ for like 89.00. i would with at least use a 5 pound bottle. call the welding places for a price. the bigger the bottle the longer it will last. i have a 20 pound and that will probably last a year or so. don't know what they cost. this one was a gift from a good freind [gator]

George I would consider the Tunze regulator. It has the needle valve on it already. It really does control the bubble rate well. I paid like 70 bucks for mine. Aquatek in Austin. I also purchased my 5 lb. aluminum bottle next door at the brewing place. It was the largest I felt safe putting in my home. They can be a bomb. :-o I paid like 85 bucks for it.

I would strongly suggest the dwyer flowmeter. It basically replaces the function of the needle valve in your regulator, and does a MUCH better job of maintaining CO2 flow. There was a long thread on this a while back, you can search for it if you want. You get the flowmeter from dwyer instruments, it costs around $40 I think.

I am using the JBJ valve dan mentioned. It does a pretty good job with the CO2, but is not exacly precise. Tends to let loose one bubble, then three or four. Overall, it is fine, but not too consistent. I am probably going to use the Dwyer Matt was talking about, especially since Matt built my reactor.
