I purchased a very nice yellow coris wrasse from CB pets today. He seemed to be browsing on flatworms within a few hours of being introduced to the tank. Its hard to see him eating at individual worms, but he was picking at the LR in isolated pockets where the worms congregate out of direct current.

I couldn't be happier. I know several of you have flatworms. I'll keep you updated on any success I observe. I also plan on trying a leopard wrasse in my other tank as an experiment.

Gary - cool find. I am still waiting for someone local to sell me their Leopard Wrasse which is supposedly eating well - I did a water change yesterday and spent 30 minutes siphoning flatworms :(

I hear they also work on small pyramid snails.

My yellow coris was a favorite before he jumped out of my tank! Awesome fish!

Mike,

I got an email from Aquatic Warehouse yesterday and they have a dragon wrasse. They quarantine their fish so I am assuming it is eating. The folks at CB Pets told me that these type of wrasses don't ship very well. I assume that is the source of the problem that you are referring to. Mine had been there for a couple of weeks and had been quarantined as well so I felt fairly confident with the purchase.

My tank is fairly devoid of pods because of my six-line wrasse and pseudochromis in the tank so I am hoping the yellow wrasse will be content grazing on flatworms as well as the other things I feed.
