My new Mushroom Arrived Today

It is a bit washed out from it's journey I think, and about the size of the button on a pair of jeans. About what I expected. To refresh your memory, it is from this colony:

It was really 'scrunched' up when it arrived at around 9:00. I floated the bag for 2o minutes, and then over the next hour every 20 minutes added a deep six hydrometer full of water from the tank to the bag. At around 10:30 - 10:45 I dumped the water out into the sink and put the rhodactis at the bottom of the tank, right next to a piece of rock I wouldn't mind it colonizing. (it came on a very tiny chunk or rock with a nice orange coraline on it. :) )

Anyhow... I am excited... first shroom... I have read up on feeding them and so on, but was wondering how long you think I should wait before I offer it something? Or, since my tank has no pod predators in it right now, and I can see hundreds of them running around the tank at night, should I just let it fend for itself?

Just a fair warning, this guy doesn't kid on shipping, you will get you rpackage by 10AM the next day and his packaging is superp. Which means you pay for it... From what I can tell, he only sells the 'spectacular' and my point is, I learned the hard way, order more than one thing so the shipping charges are WORTH it... I freaked out when I misunderstood, but he was very cool and helped me out this time (I would not have paid the full shipping cost.) But to give you an idea, that shroom cost me a cool 80 dollars including the discounted shipping. YIKES. :) I figure I am willing to pay a little more because Lot's of people will be interested in frags of this guy, and once I have spread it around the community, it will have been 'worth the cost of introduction.'

I am watching this guys site... I can't say I am especially fond of the prices, but, you know, if there is one thing I have learned in my industry (computers) you get what you pay for, and YOU establish what something is worth to you... the next time he has something spectacular I want, I will probably do it all over again. *But buy more, or do a group order.*

When I saw them, I thought... No, you can't, you told yourself no more until the anemone goes in...

but considering there were only six, and 3 were spoke for within the first week, and chances of finding it again were slim, I decided to just go for it... I am a little bit ecstatic and giddy... :)

Now, where have I heard those words before?..."You told yourself no more...." :skeezy: Keep us updated on how it does Ram....really don't think I've seen such exquisite colors before. Looks like molten lava to me!

THe lights have not come on yet today, but last night when I got home, wow. It had allready colored up tremendously, the oranges are close to what is in the picture, while the blues/purples are coming in, looks like a sunset to me right now. I am waiting for the lights to come on efore I run off, I am going to throw some phyto and cycopseze into the tank. One thing I can tell from last night is that is has moved, I think perhaps one of the snails went by... will ahve to secure it better... but I think it is definately a happy camper at this point.
