I was just a little curious to see what everone elses daily calcium usage is like. i am using salifert's calcium test kit.
i have been measuring my calcium levels on a daily bases since finding it low a week ago. i started off with with the sf test reading at 270ppm, and as of yesterday, i had a reading of 370. my target is 400ppm, but today when i tested it had drifted, the reading was 330ppm. this has pattern seems to be repeating, about 40ppm. it seems the culprit to my problems was a clogged line on my reactor output.
all the corals in the tank have a healthy appearance, so i will continue to dose until i reach my target ppm.

so what amount of calcium does your reeftank use on a daily basis?

i'm useing ESV B-IONIC and keeping my cal. at 450 to 475. i have to dose every day. it's a two part mix. i really like it. the two gal. set will last me about 40 days. i also use the salfert test.

Not sure, but my reactor drips about 50ml/min with an effluent dkh of 30. That keeps things pretty well in line; about 400-420ppm calcium, and carbonate hardness of about 12 dkh.
