I have tried several feeders back in the day and I can t really say any were worth the plastic they were built with. I have a client that needs an auto feeder that will take flake food. The catch is that the food must last at least 30 days. The 125 tank will be full of exotc cichlids. Any ideas? I have not used the Eheim air feeder yet. Anyone use this yet? I love their canisters. Thanx for your replys in advance.

Hey I was thinking of getting a different feeder as well. The one I'm looking at is the Lifegard Automatic Fish Feeder.
Here are some of the features:
1. feeds 1-4 times per day automatically
2. feeds flakes or pellets
3. Attaches to aquariums with frames up to 1"
4. Silent, dependable electric motor 115volts, 2.7 watt
5. no batteries to fail or replace
Can add optional hopper to store up to 4months of food.
I think I might get it.

Eheim makes a pretty good one.

Have you used it Tim? Will it hold enough food for a 125 chocked full of cichlids for 30 days?

Greatbarrier, I have used it for a reef. They have attachments for liquid or flake. I am not sure if they have an extra large dry feeder attachment, but you might check. 30 days is a long time to feed on auto....... I'll have to do a search and see what I can find... Great feeder, but a little expensive.

Yeah I know my eyes popped out when he siad 30 days  I might have to go with the hopper. I will talk to Ernest with Eheim direct to see if they have a hopper. Thanks for the help everyone.
